Whether or not the PlayStation VR succeeds, however, will be heavily determined by how many games are compatible with it, so another title under its belt is a good thing for Sony. It’s also up to Namco to create a virtual reality experience that doesn’t give their players motion sickness. However, it remains to be seen how well these games will fare on the virtual reality headset, as they typically aren’t in first-person perspective. Tecmo-Koei recently announced that Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 will offer PlayStation VR support. Tekken 7 isn’t the first fighter series to get into the virtual reality craze, at least if fighter spin-offs are included. Namco previously announced a release window of 2016, and with 2016 rapidly approaching, gamers can probably expect Tekken 7 during mid-to-late 2016 at the earliest. Unfortunately, Harada also refrained from announcing a release date or a narrower release window for Tekken 7. Tekken 7 will also be compatible with the Playstation VR, which should make for a more intense experience than a traditional fighter. However, Harada refrained from going into more detail as to what these bonuses might be. In addition, the PlayStation 4 version of Tekken 7 will feature some special features for gamers that were not available on the arcade version of the title. Speaking at the Sony presentation during Paris Games Week, Namco’s Executive Producer Katsuhiro Harada explained that the title would be coming to the PlayStation 4. Tekken 7 has been available in arcades in Japan and in select cities in the United States for a while now, but the game is finally making its way to consoles. Katsuhiro Harada officially announces that Tekken 7 will be coming to the PlayStation 4 at Sony’s presentation during Paris Games Week, with special features for at-home players.
